Coming Events

Where there is unity, God commands a blessing, even life everlasting! – Ps 133
There are so many opportunities to come together as one in Christ in our region; it can be difficult to keep track of them all. Therefore this list of coming events has been put together to help you plan your personal involvement and so you can hold all of these events and the people who lead and participate in your prayers. Thank you!

Our Fall Agape Prayer Ministry School
is scheduled for
Friday and Saturday the 19th and 20th of October.

• Please keep Pastor Carles Moore in prayer as he is directing this School. It’s a lot of work!

• Please be praying for all who will teach and who will lead in other ways.

• Please be praying for all who should be present to be present.

• And please pray for the presence of God to be with us at the School.

It has been a long time since we had an Agape School. It is time for many of us to “get the rust” out by our attendance at a School. You may go to Agape Prayer Ministry School and download your registration material. There is also registration material for first-time attendees who you may invite.

We have had people attend our Western NY/PA School from as far away as Lynn, Massachusetts. Who knows; we might have people attend this October from Clayton, NC or from Ogdensburg, NY. Wouldn’t that be great?

The School this October will be hosted by the Wiltsie Community Church in Russell, PA.

We have already received one registration. – Hurry and get yours in.

Be blessed!

Speaker: Mrs. B From Rochester area,
Due to sensitive subject, no photo of speaker

Mrs. B is a patient advocate for critically ill children and victims of violence in the Middle East, with a ministry called "Crossing Borders to hearts in the Middle East."

Within the persecuted church, Brenda became a "transporter" for emergency needs and urgent rescue of endangered lives. In 2005, Brenda moved to the disputed territories within Isreal for the restructure of a 29 year old ministry.

From 2007 through 2013, she continued advocating and assisting with the transport of critically ill Iraqui and Syrian children sufferung from birth defects, chronic ailments, injury, violence. With severe medical conditions, the hazards of fleeing homeland left these innocent ones severely traumatized.

Come hear how you can become part of those helping bring relief in the current Syrian war, by intercession for the tremendous medical intervention with which Brenda is so critically involved. Learn of volunteer efforts that expand help to those in danger of threats and personal harm due to endless persecution.

May the LORD bless you as you seek His calling on your life and your role in the ministry of Jesus Christ to the Nations.

Maundy Thursday, March 29 2018

5th Annual One-in-Christ Holy Week Service
Thursday 29 March 2018
6:30-8:00 p.m.
At the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts
Jamestown, NY

At the 2017 service, the pastors performed a special musical number. By popular demand, they will sing again at the 2018 service.

Near the end of his book, Reunitus, in a chapter subtitled, “The power of corporate gatherings,” Joe Aldrich wrote: “The psalms are full of ‘songs of ascent.’ These ancient hymns reflect the power and impact of doing something together, doing something big, doing something en masse…… The absence of the large, corporate gathering has weakened the Church and kept it divided. We have discovered the value of such meetings and encourage each community to do at least one each year.”

When the Church of the greater Buffalo/Niagara Region came together to hold a massive Good Friday service in the downtown arena in Buffalo in 2013; it was reported on all the Buffalo TV stations and in the local newspapers. Roy Miller, the Director of The Better Place, brought the glowing reports of this event to our Jamestown pastors’ weekly prayer gathering just to share and celebrate what God was doing “up north.” But this planted a seed; especially in the heart of Bishop Leecroft Clarke, of the Healing Word Ministries Church of God, and the rest, as the saying goes, is history. We held our first One-in-Christ gathering on Maundy Thursday in 2014 and we have been holding these gatherings annually ever since.

Our gathering this March 29 will be the 5th annual One-in-Christ Holy Week gathering.

The stated purpose of our first gathering – and every one since – was “to glorify God through unity in worship.” Well, where there is unity, God commands a blessing, even life forevermore [Psalm 133] and, sure enough, God has been honoring His word. The blessings just keep flowing out to our Jamestown area in the form of new life in Christ, renewed lives in Christ, and a growing unity of the Church made visible with a growing number of life-transforming ministries being carried out together in our region. To God be the glory!

There is no charge to attend this event.
An offering will be received to support the ministry of “Love INC”

Friday, February 23, 2018

A special time to train and equip the local body of Christ to see their work as an opportunity to be missional is being planned. Please watch this short video that will help set the stage for what's going to happen Feb 23 at Park Church in Sinclairville, NY. [Park Church will be one of several host-sites for this simulcast and they will provide a lunch meal for the day].

>> View the video

The cost of the event that is set by the simulcast is $25. This will cover the registration and the meal. Go to and check out the upcoming events on their home page for more information and registration.

Because we serve the Lord together in our community; here in Chautauqua County, we will also have a follow up to this event immediately afterward and will begin to connect people from similar backgrounds. We hope you can sign up to attend the event, and also that you will share this with people in your congregation and with your colleagues at work.

For more information you may call Nate Bailey [716/397-7196] the Ministry Director at Park Church, Sinclairville; or Roy Miller [716/720-0028] our Director at The Better Place.

Women of enCOURAGEment will bring stories of courage and inspiration that will challenge and encourage us spiritually and relationally.

Speaker: Martha & Julissa Navarro

Born in Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx, and now a resident of Jamestown, Martha Ramos Navarro is the mother of three and grandmother of three.

You will not only hear bout a miracle but you will witness the miracle of a young girl and her mother. For 3 months, Martha took over-the-counter night medication due to being told she had the flu when in actuality, she was pregnant. A friend took her to an abortion clinic where the doctor allowed her to hear the baby's heartbeat and told her to go home and think about it and come back in the morning.

Martha did not return. She gave birth to a daughter, Julissa Navarra. At age 2, Julissa was labeled with speech delay and received early intervention. At the age of 3, the doctor noticed a defect with her legs and she was fitted with a brace. She was told that by the age of 12, Julissa would require major surgery.

Come celebrate with us and hear how the faith of this very courageous mother and daughter brought them to a place of victory.

Women of enCOURAGEment will bring stories of courage and inspiration that will challenge and encourage us spiritually and relationally.

Speaker: Margaret Nsubuga

Pastor Margaret Nsubuga is a full-time pastor along with her husband, Pastor Joseph Nsubuga, at Ambassadors of Encouragement church in Komamboga in Uganda. Together they have five children and they have also adopted three girls.

In 2012 Margaret started the “Woven Women” ministry in Uganda. This ministry empowers women to better their lives, spreads the good news of Jesus, and provides sanitary pads and underwear. To date, over 2,500 women have benefited from this ministry in Uganda and in Rwanda; and the number continues to grow as she reaches out to more communities.

Several years ago, Margaret also started a piggery project to financially empower pastors in Uganda who are living in deep poverty. Margaret raises and breeds pigs and then gives piglets to pastors. The pastors then breed the pigs and sell piglets for money to sustain their ability to remain in ministry.

Margaret is a counselor, a motivational speaker, and a mother to many in Uganda. She has paid for the education of many children with money she has earned through her own industrious undertakings. Many of these children have now graduated from secondary school and university and are now married with children of their own.

Margaret is an inspiration to women in her country, Uganda, and beyond.

Women of enCOURAGEment will bring stories of courage and inspiration that will challenge and encourage us spiritually and relationally.

Speaker: Susan Colwell

“Who am I, Lord and who are you?” a question oten asked by Susan Colwell, September’s featured speaker for Women of EnCOURAGEment.

Over 23 years ago, Susan’s life dramatically changed when she spiritually came alive. With many broken pieces, Susan came to a new-found faith that would heal her marriage and set Susan on an unshakeable course. Since that time, her life has not been the same and she has experienced so many of God’s richest blessings.

With her husband of 30 years, Dan, 4 adult children and 9 grandchildren, plus 1 more arriving soon, Susan treasures faith and family. She and her husband spend winters in Florida and summers on the lake in Ashville enjoying family in both areas.

Since she retired as Executive Director of St. Susan Center Soup Kitchen in Jamestown (she certainly had the right name to hold that position), she has continued to pursue the calling on her life to affect change around her.

With a passion for women to know God more intimately, she is currently writing two books,
The Secret Dance of a Woman and How to Pray to Change the World Around You.

Prayer and the Word of God are her lifeline. She has learned through personal experience that prayer changes people, places and things! Her favorite saying: “Life is a hiccup but eternity is forever.” Come and join us as we link arms and hearts to receive yet one more encouraging tes6mony from Susan Colwell, our Woman of Encouragement!!
