When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. – 2 Chronicles 7:1
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you. Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O Lord. – Psalm 89:14-15
Everything about The Better Place facilities, as envisioned, is geared toward the support and fulfillment of the threefold mission of The Better Place.
The facilities must be comfortable, but not opulent. They must be able to accommodate large groups and individuals present for a personal retreat. They must be in a secluded and private area yet close to population centers were guests can go and practice what they are being taught about prayer-filled and prayer-backed ministry. – see Bylaws Article VI. – The Better Place campus shall be a place where people meet and know the transforming glorious presence of God.
We want to use this page to let you actually see The Better Place facilities
as they are envisioned in Architect's renderings. However, we know in God's
time, and through the gracious provision of His resources, we will see these
facilities come to physical fruition. We now have an agreed-upon-price for
the land and await funds for purchase. Once we have secured the property, funds
will be needed to break ground, complete construction in phases, and endow the
facilities to ensure their future fruitfulness.
Please dream with us as you view and envision the ministry that can take
place at The Better Place.
You may read about the minimum we expect to have in regard to facilities in Article VI of the Bylaws. The facilities that are envisioned as being essential to The Better Place ministry are described at this point in the Bylaws.

In networking the Church for transformational revival, The Better Place organizes and facilitates many types of prayer gatherings. One year we partnered with the Adirondack House of Prayer in eastern New York State to orchestrate a year of 24-7 prayer week-by-week in various regions through the State. We started with two weeks of non-stop prayer in the county where TBP is headquartered; Chautauqua County, NY. The first week of the year we held 24-7 prayer at a church in Dunkirk in the north of the County and the second week of the year we held 24-7 prayer at the Fluvanna Community Church in Jamestown in the south of the County. (This photo was taken in the Fluvanna Church). When we have our own facilities we will be more readily able to facilitate non-stop prayer, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week all through the year – 365 days per year.
We thank God for a godly County Executive in Chautauqua County. Our County Executive, Greg Edwards, has taken great interest in The Better Place. One day he asked our Director to accompany him to the property we hope to purchase. That is where this photo was taken of Mr. Edwards. He took time to pray there on the property for God to fulfill His vision and to establish the campus there. – That is not all he did. He went to visit one of the women who co-owns the property just to encourage her not to sell the property to any other person or organization, but to hold it until TBP had the money to buy it. (Mr. Edwards has since left his position at County Executive to head a local foundation, but he remains very committed to seeing TBP vision fulfilled.)
The Healing Rooms
For several years The Better Place served as the “umbrella” for the “Healing Rooms” ministry in Jamestown, NY. This is a ministry that was initiated by The Better Place in cooperation with Healing Rooms International of Spokane, WA. – Over the years, The Healing Rooms borrowed the facilities of several different churches and organizations at the convenience of those entities. – At the present time, The Healing Rooms have gone “fallow” until The Better Place is able to locate them in our own facilities. – Many people were dramatically healed of physical ailments over the years that we offed this ministry. Perhaps even more “thanks-producing” than the healings are the many salvations that occurred as the Gospel of Jesus Christ was shared with the people who came for healing. It will be good to get this ministry going again in our own facilities!
It’s great when pastors promote books written by The Better Place Director to their congregations. This photo of Pastor Rodney Mileham of the East Randolph, NY United Methodist Church was taken at a retreat where our Director, Roy Miller, was the keynote speaker. – It will be even greater when churches can come to The Better Place campus for their retreats and find a fully stocked Bookstore there with many resources to help them to be a House of Prayer for the Nations.
